Smashing Silly Stereotypes: The distorted descriptions of tenants and the housing crisis

Many tenants say that they don’t recognise themselves in the descriptions of social housing tenants that are bandied about. They are all too often distorted or stereotyped.

Smashing Silly Stereotypes! by Danny Dorling and Carole Burchett, with contributions from many social and council housing tenants, introduced by Richard Peacock of SOHA housing and councillor Carl Austin-Behan – Lord Mayor of Manchester, given at 5pm on Wednesday 29 June, Room 2, Manchester Central Library.

Supported by: Amicus Horizon, Progress Housing Group, Red Kite Community Housing, Soha Housing, South Yorkshire Housing Association, and the Town and Country Housing Association.
